FOR EMPLOYERS.

In the region of Osnabrück - Emsland - Grafschaft Bentheim and beyond.

Who we are.

As Industrial Employers’ Association Industrieller Arbeitgeberverband Osnabrück – Emsland – Grafschaft Bentheim e.V. – IAV for short – we represent the interests of regional employers. From small family-run businesses to large international companies, our members include industrial companies from all sectors, industry-related service providers and other companies. Our 560 member companies currently employ around 130,200 employees.

We stand up for our members.

Our association lawyers support our members with their expert advice and legal representation in labour and social law. They provide support in negotiations with employees, works councils and trade unions as well as in legal disputes.

We speak for the regional employers.

We know what issues are currently occupying employers. In dialogue with politicians, the public and trade unions, we communicate employers’ views. It is well known that goals can often be better achieved together: Our network with other associations and institutions provides us and our members with valuable contacts. We cooperate with schools, universities, chambers of commerce, trade associations, local authorities, business development agencies and social insurance institutions.

„Wir stehen nicht still. Wir entwickeln uns immer weiter und sind
als moderne Interessenvertretung an Ihrer Seite.“

Three institutions in one location.

Bohmter Straße 11 in Osnabrück is not only home to IAV, but also to the NiedersachsenMetall Bezirksgruppe Osnabrück – Emsland – Grafschaft Bentheim. It represents the interests of metal and electrical enterprises in our region that are bound by collective agreements. The joint management of the two associations allows us to optimally bundle our knowledge and represent the interests of our members in the best possible way. The two associations are flanked by the VME Stiftung Osnabrück-Emsland, a foundation which strengthens vocational orientation and education in the field of MINT (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, technology).

About us

No collective agreement binding through membership in the association.

Membership in the IAV does not result in collective bargaining obligations. For companies in the metal and electrical industry that don’t want to be part of collecive bargaining, we have formed the “IAV Fachgruppe”, a specialised group which is not covered by collective agreements. It currently includes more than 125 companies that belong to the metal and electrical industry and related sectors. Their advantage: they receive sector-specific information, also from the collective bargaining environment, events specially tailored to the metal and electrical sector and valuable contacts – and all this without being part of a collective bargaining agreement themselves.

About us

The spokesperson of the IAV Fachgruppe is Jens Ficker, Leitung HR Konzern at Bernard Krone Holding SE & Co. KG in Spelle.

„Als Mitglied in der IAV Fachgruppe Metall und Elektro können wir viele branchenspezifische Vorteile nutzen, ohne selbst an einen Tarif gebunden zu sein
– für uns eine ideale Kombination.“
