Understanding economy.

Bringing school and business together.

What does a company actually look like from the inside? What are typical business processes? And what do you need to train as an IT specialist, industrial clerk or warehouse logistics specialist? In our school-business networks, we promote dialogue between teachers and business representatives, we have a look at a wide variety of professions and career paths, and we highlight current economic challenges. During company visits or presentations, teachers are provided with background knowledge that they can pass on to their students. Representatives from the Employment Agencies and Job Centres are also welcome, as are managers from companies and other institutions.

Temporary managers.

It’s one thing to learn theoretically in class how companies work. It’s quite another to try it out yourself. For more than 35 years, we have been working with the Bildungswerk der Niedersächsischen Wirtschaft to offer business simulation games – the Management Information Game (MIG) and the game INVESTOR for the upper school grades. Our goal: to teach economic education in a fun way, train key skills and provide practical insights into the world of work. For one week at a time, the young people slip into the role of board members of fictitious companies and make a wide variety of business decisions in order to be successful on the markets.

It is particularly valuable that numerous regional companies get involved to make the management game weeks possible. They provide support as hosts, financial sponsors, expert speakers on various economic topics and open their doors for company tours.
